The Founding of VFM Precision Metal: A Vision Forged in Shenzhen

When VFM Precision Metal Fabrication Co. opened its first workshop in Shenzhen, the goal was simple: build a sheet metal supplier that international buyers could rely on without compromise. The founding team had spent years on shop floors across the Pearl River Delta and knew where most projects stumbled — inconsistent tolerances, unclear communication, and last-minute substitutions on materials.

From the beginning, VFM committed to three principles that still define the company today: precision engineering, transparent communication, and consistent manufacturing. The first machines on the floor were a CNC turret punch and a small press brake line, but the discipline behind them was unusual for a workshop of that size.

Within the first year, the team had delivered enclosures, brackets, and frames to clients in the United States, Germany, and Australia. Several of those early customers are still working with VFM today — a quiet validation that the founding vision was the right one.

Looking back from where the company stands today, the founding chapter feels modest. But the operating standards established in that first workshop — measure twice, document everything, never ship a part the team would not accept themselves — are the same standards that guide every project leaving the facility now.
